Challenge: Letting Go (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Kitchen sink, Edmonton, Canada.
Date: Feb 7, 2004
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/200
Galleries: Macro, Water
Date Uploaded: Feb 9, 2004

Shot in near darkness about 4 inches from the tap with the EF-S 18-55mm Rebel kit lens. Flash sync at 1/200 sec. Filtered with NeatImage default settings, cropped with GIMP. Being the idiot I am, I shot this hand-held, making it much harder than it needed to be.

I'm guessing people aren't thrilled with this photo as it is water drops. I'm not tired of them yet, so good idea as far as I'm concerned. I would have liked to have seen the droplets in line with the big drop, I know that's no easy task. Also, the image in the droplets takes away from the simplicity of this shot. Maybe try a neutral background. One droplet has a little glare in it which is a bit distracting. SCORE : 7 Well done and good luck!

Nice shot, great POV and DOF. Nice background. The reflection on the second drop is quite distracting.

Is it me? Or do these drops seem to be falling at an angle? Must be my poor eyesight. Drops look like tiny crystals.

The slight bluriness/graininess in the droplets is very appealing with the background.
