Wow, by FAR my best result!! 15th out of over 500 in a free study is a result I'll take any day. Thanks to all that gave me such rockin' votes and for all the great comments. I've learned so much in such a short amount of time and hope to keep on truckin'. Thanks!!!

Very cool. Its somewhat of an optical illustion - at least to me. I feel I'm looking down, then I don't. Fun photo to look at. I like the black & white. I think its effective with your image.

I like this very much. Do think the impact would've been stronger if the bottom was cropped out and the shot more centered. I've tried to see how it looks cropped out via scrolling and it sure does have a hypmatizing effect. The eye going in and out and not wandering out of the frame as much. Right now the bottom is distracting. Hope this does well for you.

Very cool - great lighting. I think this would be even more interesting with something to break up the pattern - such as a single gull - but a great photo nonetheless.

Very much my kind of shot - remarkable DOF and detail throughout - especially in the distance. Great control of light and shadow and I can't see this in anything other than B&W.
