Deannda,

Thanks for taking the time to critique my photo. Very helpful comments...and I suppose too it was a bit unclear as to my intent, which was: I'm through with the "South Beach Diet" (a low carb diet). The letting go is in binging on the high-carb beer, Breyers ice cream, marshmallows, and Rold Gold pretzels. I had hoped that the orange "Lose Belly Fat First" label on the book cover might show up better through neck of bottle. The book title may not be obvious enough. I can see that it is a bit much. Thanks!! Steve

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is a very interesting image, so much too look at and really make you wonder just what you are through with. The diet or the junk food, LOL!

As for the shot, as I mentioned, very busy, so much to look at and to try to figure out exactly what you are going for. Upon looking very closely I can see the garbage bag around the bottom on the bottom left but the marshmellows under the bottle and book just don't seem to set right if you were shooting down into the bag. There is nothing supporting them, you know? Also the cropping seems just a bit off for some reason, maybe if the bottle top was completely in the shot? Too many things cut off, nothing completed leaving a sense of wanting in the shot. The colors are well done and the contrast is there also as well as the lighting. Not a bad shot overall, just a few little things that seemed a bit off.

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

Are you through with the goodies and letting go of an unhealthy way of eating,.or through with dieting and going to enjoy yourself? Either way, it fits the category.

Creative factor really isn't there for me, but the photo itself is okay. Message fits the challenge.
