Taking quite a risk with this entry, I think. I saw the photo in my minds eye as soon as I read the challenge description. It's "different" but I'm pleased with the result.
I'm off in a day or two to the German/Austrian border to do some mountain trekking for a week. Don't think I'll see many internet cafés so I won't have a clue how my score's doing. Expecting severe dpc withdrawel symptoms....

I'M BACK! Had a great holiday (missed you all like crazy)
THANK YOU for the votes and comments and for the Ribbon. I'm totally over the moon about it!!

Wow, you really don't know what you are talking about. Why in the world would this be boring? The subject matter is completely enthralling.

Plus, she's got way more ribbons than you, so its obvious that you can in no way critique her photography.

I sure hope you sent in your original before you left - don't ribbons need to be verified? (I wouldn't know from personal experience!)

A beautifully composed image. Great detail. It's always nice to see an atypical answer to a challenge concept work out well.

Excellent choice of perspective and use of reflection, well placed for simplicity in the frame and good use of depth of field.

This is certainly one of the more inventive entries in the challenge. I love the different colours, the crisp edges and the clear reflection. I like the composition, but maybe a little wider DOF would improve the clarity on more of the leaf, or maybe pushing the focus point just slightly further back. Hey, did somebody just get a new macro table? :)
