Interesting composition, Rob. I like the intersecting corners and placement of the dots (pips?). I think your score got hit for two things:
1) There's no real detail in the surface of the die. That's just a fact of life with this subject. But one of the joys of macros, at least for me, is seeing details I wouldn't normally be able to see.
2) The lack of detail makes the whole face look blown out, which is a sizable portion of the photo to have no detail.
Still an interesting shot, though! |

It is neat to see how imperfect the dots art, when you look at dice they seem just spotted but giving this new perspective shows that on old dice the paint is often chipping, it is neat |
