 I was shooting for From the Ground up, when I saw this rainbow crested over the cross. Needless to say, I shot a bunch of photos for this challenge then.

I lightened the bell tower with a layer and painted it white; applied gaussian blur and soft light to blend it in. Used a little Lucis Exposure and then NI to bring out the cloud structures and the rainbow itself. I hope the rainbow is not too light for this challenge - ya never know!

This is a powerful image. I like the way the tower leads right to the rainbow, and the construction of the tower make it even better because of the details in the tower.

A new personal best and a top ten finish....Way to go. One of the great things about DPC is the way you see your friends photography sometimes just evolve and evolve until it reaches another level

OMG OMG !!!!!!!.. i hadnt checked on the rainbow scores & i just opened the challenge and wot should jump out at me, but an alicia photograph !! .. i knew you were doing real well, but WOW .. you must be on such a high from this one .. a personal best, a place on the first page AND a most excellent photograph .. A bit more subtle than most of the entries in this challenge. The clouds seem to be flowing out from the steeple. Some visual artifacts visible on the steeple, probably from trying to bring out the shadow details.
