This is the Spencerville covered bridge. It is a treasure because yes, you can still drive your car, truck, buggy, motorcycle, whatever over it.

Except you can't drive a semi across it without tearing it up pretty bad, as an IL truck driver did in Sept. 2012. Fortunately, they were able to repair / restore the bridge, and it was again opened to car traffic the end of June 2013.

I'd probably have taken this from a different angle. The trees in the foreground block the bridge somewhat

For me, it's an okay photo, but there are so many trees in front of the bridge it's very distracting and lessens the impact of the bridge.

If the bridge is the subject it shouldn't be hidden behind trees.

somehow this image does not grab my attention. maybe not the best angle for the subject .it fits the title though..
