Challenge: Scene It! II (Advanced Editing V)
Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi
Lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Location: my basement
Date: Nov 3, 2007
Aperture: f16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 0.3 sec
Galleries: Still Life
Date Uploaded: Nov 3, 2007

My first entry with my new Rebel XTi. But not my first with this great old typewriter. It's actually the second week in a row with it (Something Old), and I've used it twice before.

Lit with my work lights through white umbrellas and a custom white balance.

-Converted from RAW.
-Rotate and crop to the 1.85:1 ratio of the US theatrical release.
-Levels to set white point to the paper
-Paper still wasn't white enough, so I selected it and adjusted curves to where I wanted it.
-Shadow/Highlight to brighten the dark areas
-Healing Brush and clone tool
-Noise Ninja
-Resize to 640x346
-USM
-Cooling Filter (80) Photo Filter at 6%
-Resize canvas to 640x427

This is probably the first time one of my entries has looked almost exactly like I pictured it in my head before I shot it.

Really like your idea here although I can't put this together with the movie, I know its Jacks line but maybe your doing the screenplay?? Anyway I love Jack.

Man this shot brought shivers down my spine when I first saw it during voting. I REALLY liked the Shining when I first saw it oh....forever ago now. Perfect tribute shot and a 10 from this voter.
