This lovely young lady and her friends sell scarves just inside the gate at a coalition base in Afghanistan. I now have lots of scarves. It seems a shame to me that the women in this country - if these girls who sell scarves are any indication of the beauty here - hide their faces as they reach womanhood.

Haunting and lovely, either crop. I'm a huge square crop fan, but prefer it in the rectangular, guess I like the negative space as a frame!

good stuff. The various shapes in the catchlights are quite interesting/ arresting/ confusing. Not sure if I'm paying more attention because or in spite of them. Really pretty light.

Very nice. Wonderful detail, square centered crop is perfect and her gaze is almost hypnotizing. I hope this scores well. Bumping up to 9 for now.

Back one more time - I think I see a tiny little photographer in the eyes of that little Afghani girl. Could be mistaken though - but I dont think so. ;)
