This is part of the perimeter fencing at the old Lorton Prison, which is in the process of becoming a park, arts center, and other community-friendly things. Most of the prison buildings, towers, etc. are still standing. The guard tower at the far end of the shot overlooks the entrance where I'm guessing prisoners went in and out (double-gate system). Seems like a sad, empty little bit of world.

Trying something new and different with the duotone (using neither black nor white).

PP - converted from RAW, copied base layer 2x and levelled all 3 (bright, normal, dark), merged layers, duotone (very dark brown and very light cyan), cloned out bright spots in sky, dodged/burnt fences and tower, USM, cloned out hotspots, added border, resized, sharpened, cloned/blurred sharpening artifacts.

I very much like the way you've composed this. Toning contributes well to the "no man's land" feel, too.

May just be the lines messing with my head but this seems a ittle tilted. This would look cool with some storm clouds of something.

It looks like the zone in a prison nobody can enter without getting shot. Eerie shot. I like the OOF chain link in front of the camera.

Ohhh, nice DOF and composition! I love the darkness..it adds to the darkness of the prison and adds moodiness to this image. Very creative use of the fence in the foreground!!
