I actually voted this high. Thought it was a well done image. But it looks like you were disqualified because you didnt provide an original - not because of the effect. And from reading the comments that were left you did achieve a good handful of kudos. If you had ribboned and not been dqed the backscratching would have come out in droves as well. Thats just the way DPC is. Top 3 get most of the views after voting is over, and thus they get most of the comments. 29 comments and 2 faves is nothing to sneeze at.

Ooopsie! Sorry :-( It's because I've got one of his shots in my favourites which works along similar principles.

How did you do it? I'm thinking you shot the photo, printed it out, stuck it in your scene, shot another photo and so on?

In any case, it's going in my favourites now :-)

Nice in an abstract sort of way, but this doesn't show book smarts in the sense of someone displaying skills/knoweldge acquired through reading.

very clever idea and well executed. any shot that makes you study it and think "how did they do that" will do well.. top 5 image at least.. well done.

Very cool. This is an image that could benefit from more than a 640 pixel size restriction.

Very clever and well laid out. IMHO it would have been a better shot in color though. I don't see that black and white is adding anything to the shot.

creative and interesting picture, made me look twice. shame about the overexposure, as it distracts.
