Water temperature: In the 40s (no kidding, there was a thin sheet of ice the day before). Wore a dry suit, but it was still really cold. This is a pond in my parent's backyard. I'm really torn between the color and B&W version. I'm not sure which I'll ultimately go with.

Tonemapped, S/H, multiply layer masked off on the grass, contrast, hue sat to shift the yellows a bit to red (been doing that a lot lately) and increase saturation, USM, resize, NI to grass and then either keep in color or channel mixer for B&W (if I go with that...).

Somehow I figured this challenge was in the mode of Where's Waldo. We'll see if I'm wrong about that. BTW, my dad snapped the shutter. Last time he did that I got the blue. Let's go for two in a row!

Congratulations on another 4th. You're "da master" of the fourths!!! BTW, 4 is my favourite number, by far, so it's not so bad.

Don't cry, Jason. Be happy! (Great finish, great score, great image).

I think the problem here is that most voters gloss over the photos while voting. It was obvious from many of the comments that your head was only seen after taking a second look. What a shame, because this most certainly deserves a ribbon.

Another issue would obviously be the details missed with a 640 pixel maximum, but that's the subject of (many) other discussions! :)

Congratulations Doc. You're in your green comfort zone again. Very consistent output that always finds the top 5. At least you can be thankful for global warming or that skim of ice might have been there!
Oh yeah, laugh! Cry when you score like most of mine do. LOL

Great shot! It looks like HDR to me. The head poking out of the water is very out of place and interesting.

I thought this was a good picture until I spotted the boy's head in the water. Then I decided this was a great picture. The head was so unexpected. How long did he have to stay thre in the water to wait for the ripples to flatten out?

Lovely colours, good idea, the sky looks a little "overdone" somehow and doesn't seem consistent with the reflection in terms of colour

I like the "where is waldo" feel, colors and reflection only add to a great picture.

Very good, great colours in this shot but the inclusion of the hidden 'Drew' gives the image an advantage over a lot of the other ones in the challenge. Super sharpness, refelection and composition
