I'm a bit surprised how well this image did. DPC people just love flies, I guess!

I was cleaning the house when I spotted a fly, so I just had to chase it around a bit with my my new ringflash construction. This is when he landed on the corner of my wall and I shot this. For the challenge I rotated him to be horizontal (but that's why he's leaning to the left).

Amazingly detailed macro. Wow. Just wow. I might have cropped a bit differently, but I'd be ecstatic to have a capture like this to crop!

wow...that's a marvellous macro! perfect crisp focus in all the right places, lighting is fantastic, nice depth of field. How you managed this image without the fly flying away is also amazing...they are creepy, yet beautiful...9

These shots always amaze me! The detail is so interesting. The color and sharpness are all there.... I like the DOF.... just wish there was more light on the body so I could see a bit more the insect's wings. Well done!
