Great, great, great - expresses so much more about you than any old "this is my face" self-portrait. I like how you approached this challenge.

This one is great. The perspective is captivating. Plus I love the addition of the sign. It gives the photo a nice added element and makes you ponder a bit more than a traditional photo. Sorry about the score though, but Don gave you due credit. Cheers.

I applaud the lack of studio. :-) A quirky and quite intriguing shot - I'm terribly envious of your very well-deserved Posthumous Blue!

I gave this a 9 during voting. It is strange and beautiful in a haunting way. I think it should have scored better, but most of my favorite work ends up way below where it should. :-)

Congratulations on your posthumous BLUE! I think those are quite rewarding. It's a fun quirky photo and I love your carefully chosen background.

Congrats on a well-deserved Posthumous blue. As you could see by my earlier comment, I am one of the appreciators of this image :-)

I too am not surprised this is low down the pile but I am certain this says a lot more about you than a 'standard' mug shot. I feel I know how you tick and what amuses and interests you. It does of course depend on what you want to express, but it's a bit sad that the boundaries of expression are rarely stretched beyond the bleedin' obvious on this site.

Love the comp and cross-process which works so well with this lighting.

I didn't think this would do well but I absolutely love it! Fab shot.

Thank you to the academy for this blue honor. This is particulary welcome since I do believe this self portrait reflects perfectly my world at this time. Yes, deadpan and inevitable are appropriate descriptions. I am moving towards something even if I don't know what it is. And it was made without the benefit of a studio, artificial lights, money, time, or patience.

Love this photo - great composition. As far as the challenge theme goes, I find it a bit lacking.

I'm actually quite taken by this image. It's among the group in this challenge I appreciate very much. There's a certain deadpan inevitability about it.

Honestly, it feels like your camera just fell down while taking your photo. I would prefer to see a face or partial face in a portrait photo... instead of this :( Sorry.

I really hope this is trying to explain something about yourself and peanuts...

Ohhhh, from the thumbnail I thought it would be 1 of my faves simply because I love low angle shots... I love the backgound you used here, the colours are to my taste and it's so cool, like I was saying I love low angle shots and I like that you took that approach but the fact that you is out of focus lets me down big time... then again it's understandable why its oof as you cant view it on the viewfinder, so 6 from me but would have been a 10 if you was in focus as well =)

Best of luck!!!!!!

I don't find this interesting as a SP. The subject has become the building and whilst you are in the shot (I gather it's you) it doesn't really connect with for what I'm looking for in a SP. Image seems to have a yellow cast to it as the sky is not blue. Hope that is helpful.

Hardly a self portrait in my book but that doesn't mean I don't still like the coloring in the sky. I also like the overall feeling here. BB

is that you up on the building or right here in the foreground? : )
I love this! : )

I actually really like this. It reminds me of... well, I'm not really sure. But the dank surroundings, and you just coming at the camera, eerie and cool.

Great texture, lighting, etc... of the building. Lousy portrait. And the W looks faked.
