Bear Music does Bukowski is my take on this. Dan_Cottle's comment is very valid, IMO. It is indeed a brave commenter to say that. Nice to see some have the guts to make that type of comment around here. There is some sort of repulsive inspiration in this photo though. I can indeed learn something from it. So thanks. I'm glad you entered it.

The crazy beard makes this for me, both echoing and reinforcing the play in the background, both of the landscape and the few stray hairs. I assume this was shot on a windy day--hair doesn't grow that way naturally!

Very Hemingwayesque, despite the Mishima title. I'm not sure the title really fits.

This one obviously deserves a 10 .
While some others try to hide wrinkles and show an expresionless face with no personality and without life , you don't cheat !
La arruga es bella ( spanish saying = wrinkle is beautiful), so is this portrait .

Bear_Music? Nice detailed shot shows a lot of life experience. I can't figure out if this is shot straight down at water way below or at an angle of water just behind. The title fits well. Nice crop.

Stunning shot. Absolutely superb colouring and fantastic sharpness and detail, an image made for me by the eys which seem to tell unspoken tales of many things seen - both good and bad - but which retain a compassion and humanity.

Brilliant SP. Good Luck in the challenge
