I think i was too hung over from new years and I shouldn't have been voting, as I did not realize what was happening in this photo when I left you my comment below. I still gave you a 6 but would have scored higher if I had known what I was doing :(

This is interesting. I love how you make it look like she is opening up the sky. I agree with what someone else said - it would be good to see a little more light on her too. Cool idea.

nice concept, i would have cranked down the exposure and used maybe a fill flash to illuminate subject to make her stand out and also fix blown out portion of sky

This is a neat idea, although I'm not sure I'm a fan of the blown-out area on the sky. The main flaw here is the lack of light on your model. An off-camera flash - or even two pieces of posterboard as reflecters - would have thrown some light on her and brought her out of the shadows, making this a very cool shot.

The huge cloud above her head is totally blown out, to the point it almost seems like a cartoon dialog bubble.

Very nice catch.

Sorry, but the first thought I have is to wonder how long it will take for someone to put text into that opening in the sky and turn it into a cartoon-like thought-baloon. This is a stretch for me to connect with the challenge description, but I guess it could fit if you envision heaven as a hidden city of gold up there somewhere.

I don't get the model's role in this, maybe an angel? Norse goddess? I'd really like to see how you accomplished the blown out opening in the sky in basic editing. Maybe that's the sky and the blue is clouds. Well done! 8

Good theme, but the angle would look better if the person was more to the right of the frame.

The clouds are a bit over exposed, but I don't know what you could have done about it in Basic Editing.

Angel announces! The "Hot-Spot" is a bit stark,...though!

i'm missing how this girl standing on a rock is related to the subject of the challenge, "the hidden city"

I would guess this is a Judi image...really nice, it really does look like a heavenly doorway
