This picture was taken of a cubic candle my dad has in our bathroom. I took this photo in this specific way to make the stars and moons blend into an array of 'fire flowers'. I have taken similar photographs of the moon to create odd, abstract images with the light smeared across the page.

Very abstract, which is why your score was low. Abstract photography makes for good fine art, but DPCers aren't too keen to absract in general. I like the shot, very unique, there isn't really anything for my eye to go to, but it is still a very unique interesting shot.

I'm thinking that you were the victim of good intention. There is a hint that something should be happening ABOVE the fire flowers, and that the flames weren't the subject. That is just a compostion issue. The coloring behind is nice. Abstracts are difficult anyway, I'm glad you tried.

I really don't know what to think of this one. The 'flowers' are clearly moving during the long exposure. I guess it's intentional, but I don't see why. The title doesn't help me either. Somehow I think there was a good idea behind this picture, but I am afraid it's so blurry that I fail to recognize the idea.

It's too indistinct to hold my attention

Just lacking a sharp focal point for me. Interesting patterns but is let down by the composition. Perhaps a much tighter crop around the sharpest area would have created a bold abstract.

Very out of focus. Or is that what you were after? It simply does not draw my attention as a nice abstract.

I just don't like it. I think you worked hard to get it, but it doesn't do anything for me.

Very different idea. It almost looks like a snow flake.
