Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Abandoned Buildings II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
Location: Downtown Des Moines, IA
Date: Jan 13, 2008
Aperture: F10
ISO: 400
Shutter: 10s
Galleries: Sky, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Jan 14, 2008

The surreal sky comes from the downtown light pollution and 10 second shutter. The base of the building is illuminated by firing an off camera flash during the exposure (that's why it is cooler in color than the top of the building).

Great colours & tones. Interesting composition, really draws your eye all the way to the top of the frame. I would be interested to know what post processing was done. Good work.
