Love the warm golden tones in this composition. Shells and the beach always invoke warm thoughts - and the golden hue of this shell compliments the thought. Details & lighting are wonderful. Arrangement of the major element is pleasing to the eye for the eye just follows the lines of the spiral on the shell as it curls inward. A lovely nature-found 6 nestled in the sand.

Juli, this is such a lovely photo - the depth of field is just right, I like how all the outer edges fade and melt into the background, gives the inner "6" that much more impact. Congratulations on a deserved top 10 - so glad to see this was one of yours!

The shell's flowing lines bring the eye from the otuer to the inner of the shell. GREAT movement.

Lusciously shallow DOF, like how you made it appear to glow.

Nice image. I thought it was a bit of a stretch in meeting the challenge at first, but after looking at it more, it became more obvious. Bumping up.

The falloff of focus is just a bit too much. Needed a bit more depth.

I love the contrast and how my eyes were drawn around the spiral and brought right to the center. The fact that the sand gets blurrier the farther back you look adds an amazing effect! Congratulations on a wonderful image, you truly have a very creative mind!
