 Shot of the statues over the main entrance of the CA State Capital building, completed in 1878. From the pictures I've seen online, this is actually how this portion of the building (the front enterance) looked in 1878!

Amazingly, this picture was not cropped at all. The bottom is perfectly level right out of the camera, so I got lucky! When you zoom in on the statues the detail is amazing.

The clarity and lighting of this image makes it exceptional. Yoy did a great job with this image. It'll probably be voted lower because folks won't see the connection to the challenge, but not me. I like this one a lot.

The crop is interesting and not the usual symetrical image. The detail is great, nicely sharp, contrast is great, and the color of the sky in the corners is really nice. Shows off the wonderful architecture well.

pretty good. i think it is cropped a bit tight, and taken from a too low of vantage point to make the statues really interesting. perhaps the top of the building would have been a better bet.
