Taken at the Ecomuseum in Montreal, this is one of the best places that I know to get good close-up Eagles shots.

It was taken when the temperature was around -23 Celsius (-9 F), this is why we can see the Eagle’s breath vapour coming out as he’s screaming. The black background is a few small evergreen trees in the distance. I positioned myself to get this dark background.

I'm really pround of this shot and I hope it does well in the challenge.

Nice work getting a clean background. Great detail throughout most of the white which is very difficult to accomplish. The detail also in the eye that is most visible to us. I bet this looks even more fantastic in print.

Excellent! Great timing, focus, DOF. Definitely a shot that makes me look at it. The only small thing would be the lack of detail on the highlight side of the bird, but I looked at the shot for a long time before I even noticed that.

Nice capture. This is probably the "fattest" eagle I have ever seen.

Quite a personified presentation - looks like an angry old man in a brown feather suit yelling out orders at someone.

and (lens) size does matter! very good focused shot. composition is a bit unweighted, had preferred a portrait orientation to emphasize his majesty
