The sun burned through the low cloud to give a sense of eerie luminosity to the majestic mountains looming above us.

this is incredible....you know I was looking at this and it almost looks...to me of course...like there is a hand reaching upward on the far right set of cliffs...like the palm facing you...and someone perched utop the center cliffs..at the edge of the mist facing the right....so much more in this photo...I'm seeing all kinds of things...gorgeous!!!

Beautiful image. Makes snow and the cold winter actually look bearable.

One of the best captures of light there is on the site - second perhaps, only to the Sydney Harbour Bridge shot. Didn't see it in voting unfortunately, but would have been a certain 10.

I was sure that this would place. I'm kinda dissapointed that it didn't. Simply incredible (to quote myself). Deserves to be a print!!!

This shot is simply incredible! I love the rock hard textures that somehow look to be silky smooth at the same time. Wonderful powdering of the snow on the pines to give detail. Great job!

This is a good image, with the snow blowing off the peaks it is very atmospheric.

Mystic... love it! Is that my cottage that I see there?? I wish! The contrasts are spot on and I'm glad you didn't over saturate the blue. Great composition! 9

Absolutely stunning and very dramatic image with the way you've captured the lighting and the blowing snow/mist. I like the way you included the trees at the bottom to give a sense of scale and the image is also very well balanced compositionally. I love it...very welll done. Bravo.

Like an Ansel Adams in colour. Dramatic, but the clouds are a little bit to fuzzy to make a really great impact/contrast. Still a nice photo

Nice. Did you burn the skyes in the upper right? (Looks unrealisticly dark, compared to the rest of the shot)

What a great scene, I can't but feel it's true potential hasn't been captured in this shot though.
