I would like to dedicate this picture to my buddy Cliff. This was 100% his idea, just my interpretation. Also, a special thanks to my girlfriend for helping with the setup.

I really wanted to enter something similar for the 'ice' challenge, but it just wasn't cold enough. I've been growing my beard out specifically to make an ice-beard, and I'm pretty happy that I was able to incorporate it into a challenge. I really wish I would have been able to highlight the beer a little better though, but I didn't notice this until I was all thawed out and looking at them on my computer. I didn't want anything to do with round 2 of the freezing temperatures. I think my score will suffer due to some complaints about not being able to read the label or it not being the main subject of focus. I had fun though.

Thanks everyone for all the votes and comments. This picture is a real big step up for me and my photography. I'm really pleased to have placed in the top 10. Some people are wondering if that's a real ice beard, and in fact it is. Here are the steps in how it's made:

- Grow beard out long enough so the ice will stay off your face and you won't give yourself frostbite
- Wait for a perfect day when the temperatures are no higher than 15 degrees Fahrenheit
- Bundle up, get your beard wet, and step outside
- Sit in front of a fan with a spray bottle and keep adding water to your beard every 20 seconds or so

After about an hour you'll have the ice-beard. You definitely want to figure out where you will take the picture before your face is frozen because it gets pretty uncomfortable after a while. Good luck to anyone who tries it and please let me know/give credit if it's due. Thanks again to all the voters.
