Tycho is really a very sweet kitty, but she hates having her picture taken so all I can catch are scowls.

A lot of processing here:
The Orton effect --
* apply USM to image
* create duplicate layer, set to screen
* combine original and screen layer
* create duplicate layer of this combined layer, set to multiply
* apply gaussian blur (around 10 or more) to multiply layer, adjust both blur radius and layer opacity to taste (also use layer mask to let under layer show through in places if wanted)
* if needed, more USM to bottom layer (the screen combined one) according to taste

After that some color adjustment, blending in a yellow duotone layer. Crop.

Then the overlays.... I used the tortilla in color burn, texture01 in linear burn, and the chain border in darken. Erased a bit here and there on her face. Voila, evil kitty!
I've posted them in my overlay folder for anyone who is interested :-)

I can see you love your cats, as by this image, and also so many you have in your portfolio. This is just brilliant. Dramatic, and with the added noise, and overlay, just brilliant.

Definitely an absorbing Kitty. Those eyes. He has a abstract neighbor a few submittals down showing his lime greens, too.

Nice. Make a good Stephen King book cover. Spooky and moody. ;~D
