i felt that the silverware looked too 'flat' without alternative objects in the frame ..

the background is one of a few i had made off a 36" plotter
just a giant spiral
the checkerboard images are done off real photographs i had printed (24x18)

Very nice patterns! I like that you have chosen a unique reflective surface. It might have been nice without the peas or whatever those little spheres are too, or maybe just to have zoomed in so they were the subject. I find myself trying to figure out what they are more than looking at what should be the subject (I guess), which is those beautiful zebra stripes on the silverware.
