 this image is a combination of 8 photographs .. it's one pelican on the same post photographed several times and then combined into one image ..

i'd taken some photographs for textures when it was raining with the flash looking out the window .. the two textures i used are the same photograph but different colours ..
i used this one blending mode soft light at 31% ..


and this one blending mode multiply at 62% ..


these are a couple of other processes i did with the image i created ..


he then took off ..

Pelicans are some of my favorite birds to shoot around here. Have food around and they'll be your best friend & pose forever. :o)

Pelicans stood on the old pylons
waiting for a steal
one seemed to lead the group
in prayer
saying grace
before the meal

He spoke of
fish in the water
and asked for saving grace
but really wanted
a bass or trout
to jump right in his face

How fun is this? At first glance I thought 'no way, you don't get to catch six pelicans at once doing interesting things all together'. Then I realized what you'd done and I felt a little better. Very, very creative.

Wow - this is amazing, Roz!! Totally brilliant - you must have worked on this forever. And with great success, I might add. The result is really stunning. The overlays add a ton of atmosphere to an already highly intriguing shot. I'm in awe.

Roz, you inspired me. I've started working on one that is a tribute to your creativity. I'm very sure it will pale GREATLY in comparison. But you have definitely inspired me to try it. I really really like how creative and fun this compilation is.
