Hey Frank, I missed this one! Really cool. Photographing art is difficult, because art is interpretation already, and so as a photographer, you're then interpreting an interpretation. But this works so nicely! You succeed!

Frank, This interesting shot was one of my top three picks for this challenge. Great photograph. You didn't get a ribbon but 5th ain't bad at all.

I see you are from Edmonds, WA. I am originally from the Pacific Northwest and am very curious what that is supposed to be and where it is located.

Thanks for all the nice comments on this entry. This was an easy shot of a sculpture at the Seattle Center. I was walking around the center, looking for parallel lines and my daughter pointed the sculpture out to me. If I were to shoot it again, I would lie down on my back and shoot up, this one I was standing. Here’s a 3D link to the sculpture, just move your mouse around on the photo and get dizzy. You can see the EMP (Experience Music Project) and the Space Needle in the photo.

By the way, I didn’t see this link until after I entered in case you wondering if that’s where I got the idea, I give my daughter Nicole all the credit.

Great view of this sculptural environment. Composition is preaty good, and play of the sunlight on the panels adds a lot. I like this place.

Try as might, I just cannot work out what I'm looking at. (Don't tell me or you'll destroy the illusion). I like it very much. It must have a chance.

I don't know what they represent in reality, but they way they want to set themselves free from the ground... makes it brilliant! There is also a feeling of wind.. "of change" (maybe)

i'm completely intrigued by this. really great work; it definitely holds my attention. if anything, i'd like to see a slightly more dynamic background. the shadow on the leftmost of the three center 'lines' is a little distracting, whereas the colors on the rightmost one are beautiful. it glows.

Very creative; I have no idea what I'm looking at, but it's a well composed image. I wish the sky (?) was a deeper blue with maybe some clouds. Those things stretching up are so interesting and I get the feeling I'm going to say when I find out what they are. One of the best pictures for this challenge.

The complementary colors and lines are nice, but it lacks a little bit of visual power. Still a high-scorer.

love this, beautiffully surreal and great use of colour. A high scoring entry Iassume. I hope the pedants don't spoil it by complaining about the non straight lines.

Nice intr. photo. Can't make out the size or orientation of these "things", and that gives alot more eye-time. Nice abstract and fits the challenge very nicely. Can't wait to see what the hell this is. Good job.
