I need so much to learn yet! Before trying to critique a work like that.

I can clearly see this is a work of passion!
Your Veronique is indeed a lovely subject. The subtle and selective
sharpening of the image makes a dramatic enhancement of facial features
while softening the background. The sepia-like coloration is perfect.
Well done!

I would crop of part of the left, up to her armpit, leave the arms but remove the rest of the body, so you get a nice play of diagonals around the face. Great shot.

Nice shot, strange to have the right hand in such a tense position compared to the more relaxed look of the rest of the pose but maybe that's just me empathizing with the model. - 6

Great model, nice pose! On my (calibrated) monitor, this has a "yellowish" tone to it that seems a little strange, so I wanted to mention it. (The grayscale on the voting page looks nice and gray in comparison). Adding a little bit of blue to the picture might help balance out the tones? Other than that, good job at meeting this challenge.

A great capture of the subject's personality - something every portrait should strive to do. I like the tones and the lighting. This has a real professional look to it. good luck!

A very good one. My only comment is the central positioning of the face of your model. Other than that, it is a technically great shot.

This is good to me, good background fusion, fall off is very good, and managed a good expression. I only wish she wasn't quite so centered. Good Job

If you hadn't cut off the top of her head I would have given this a 9 or 10. But, I think it's still pretty good, so I give it an 8.

This is a very attractive study of an attractive subject and works well in black and white. The low key lighting works well, with good detail in the shadows. Maybe I would have cropped to her right elbow to hide the "material" there and add to the hint of mystery.

Well lit, beautiful model, not so sure about amputating her elbows - slightly jars the flow around the image.

nicely done. I am getting a bit of a green hue and not sure if you intended that or not. not major.. but slightly, esp. in the face.
wonderful eyes, and good position of her hands. the hand she is resting on could be turned slightly to show the side of her hand to the camera... more feminine. backs of hands are more masculine.
