Another version of my childhood nightmares. Result of overhearing adults discussing WWII disarmament.

This required almost no processing. I darkened the background in RAW conversion to get rid of spots on the poster board. I cropped it, and prepared it for uploading (resized and saved for web).

I am really surprised by the positive response. This was a brainstorm I had while waking up in the morning -- when I usually get my best ideas. I decided to do it, even thought I didn't think it would do very well.

I like the added touched of your armless dolls looking despondent at their predicament - by doing that, you injected a bit of emotion into the shot that may not have been there otherwise. This was one of the best interpretations of the challenge, I thought.

Congrats on the top ten!! This is quite sad to me, moreso than scary. You did a great job with the cutouts, by the way. Very good interpretation of the challenge.

oh how sad!!!!! I love the fact that you have the armless people looking at their non arms, brings out emtion. The crispness of the white and black is excellent, the lines are clean. well done

Great contrasting colors, & good example of "concrete thinking". However, the paper on paper make the image look flat. The scissors do add some depth, & you have folded some of the figures over to give some depth.

You've photographed it well, although I don't quite get it.

I'm sort of imagining a child being told the word "disarmament" and this is what they think it means. Am I close?

I sort of feel sorry for the paper dolls on the left. Maybe you could get them some handicaped access or something.

This is positively hilarious. It reminds of one of mys favourite cartoon by Ben Wicks. I do hope to see this on the front page. The very best of luck to you.
