A lot of people have expressed to me that this picture doesn't mesh with the theme of peace. In my opinion, a person in mourning is someone who is searching to find an inner peace after experiencing a tragic event.

Sad looking guy, I don't think he is so peaceful, the B & W make the shot even sadder |

I love the BW that you choose. The eyes really seem to draw you in. Amazing capture of a magnificent animal. 10 |

So simple, yet so beautiful. You've captured a great expression, and pose.... however, while a good photo for "Peace" it'd probably have done better in a "Boredom" or "Apathy" challenge. :) |

His expression is so sad.... Looks a bit hazy on my screen, maybe the darks could have been a bit darker, but the lights are right on.
Edit - Scratch that, on my work monitor it looks spot on - probably was just me. |

Such a sad expression. Perhaps feels a little flat to me, although it fits his look well enough. |

Someone mourning is not usually someone at peace. |

It is certainly a sad expression that goes with your title. I'm less sure that it expresses peace. |
