I walked around a bit at Purdue University Calumet to see if I could get a couple shots, maybe for this or the B&W side. I took lots of bracketed shots, but it was cold and I didn't take my tripod with me so they were handheld. The HDR software will compensate for movement on the x & y axes, but not rotation.

Not having many options, I decided to take this one of a stained glass sculpture and process the hell out of it.

Fantastic choice in going with the color version of this. The reds and yellows just jump off the screen against the darker trim and the brillant blue sky. I think this would make a great print!

I think you might have processed the hell into this one. I love the reds, oranges and yellows. Great POV and processing.

Amazing! I really love the colors, the orange and gold against the deep blue sky looks fantastic; really glowing, love it!
Edit to add it looks like you have a bit of a solar halo going there too, the colored arc just to the right of the pinnacle of the monolith :-)

Striking image, Ken. I like the strong, complimentary colors and the kind of grunge feel it has. Wonderful juxtaposition of nature and artifice.

Very beautiful & at the same time kind of bizarre looking ! i think you & Roz win the prize for best processing --it's so beyond me :)

Beautiful result, Ken. The colors are outstanding - the light coming through the glass, the angle - it's all good. Like your title, too.

this is such a brilliant image .. excellent colours with the sky and the building .. its the strangest looking construction .. i cant work out wot it is .. if its a very large building or something a lot smaller .. i think the branches at the front are confusing me ..
interesting about the HDR info . i've only used one called Photomatix basic ... its a very basic program and allows two exposures i think & i've only used it twice .. i processed them in my raw program at different exposures and put them in photomatix .. greg has been very impressed with the results you've been getting with HDR and i'm wondering wot program you use .. :)

This thing looks way cool from the angle that you chose, with the clouds and snow in the background. Good processing to get the "look".
