Thank you all for the kind comments, I am so pleased to get a top ten - it was a close challenge! This is my favourite brown ribbon, I added it as a fav pretty early on. The best aspect of it though (that I couldn't recreate) was that it was submitted in the roadside challenge!

very nice, your kitty's eyes and face are nice and sharp, composition is great, I like your upclose crop and how the paw looks like it's coming toward the apple. the only thing is I'm wondering if a deeper dof could have brought the apple a little more in focus, I also like that the colors of the apple are reflecting in the eyes and complementing the kitty's natural color

i like the border and the colors in this. and so sharp you can see the apple's reflection in the kitty's eyes. well done!

Not sharp enough on the apple top to be really exciting, IMO. Perhaps a tad bit higher set up would also show where the stem meets the apple and be more pleasing. I know you're shooting with a moving cat... so perhaps this isn't possible.
