So this is my first entry here. Not sure how well this fits the subject. This photo has been in my minds eye for awhile so I thought I would take it out. I am going to go lay down, I am a bit dizzy.

Lens Used was a Fish-Eye-NIKKOR 7.5MM (yes it can work on a D50, you just need some tape...)

Damn fine job. I am surprised that this didn't score even higher.

Personally I thought this one would have ribboned for sure, awesome capture! Very well done.

GREAT concept. Well executed... this has to get a ribbon. I love the coloured rings and the dark floor, all of which add to the desired effect and to the aesthetic appeal of this photo.

Nice shot with good energy. The only negative I have is it's not a great fit for the challenge in that everything is so orderly (i.e. the opposite of mess).

Awesome! One of my favorites in the challenge!

Not very blurry and not very messy. That said, still a very neat shot and you pulled it off well.

great spin on the spun camera shot! 9 for originality

you might get marked low on the sharpness 6 for me

Realy well done, if not a place...it should be :)

This is an awesome composition and the blur really enhances the shot. I can just imagine that you are getting "too in focus" voting, but I like it and the amount of blur.

I'm not sure, if this really meets the challenge....

But it's a fantastic idea very well executed! Like this pic very much

I can feel a ribbon on this one ;-)

It's a great image, though I would not call it neither blurry, nor messy. It's a cool distortion though.

Ok, this one had me fooled until I realized you were in a chair, spinning it around and that was the blur. Still no mess, however. Unless the mess part is what happened to your lunch after doing this.

A good score from me for creativity and fooling me for not looking carefully enough.

Neat! I'll be interested to see how you made this, nicely done!

Interesting perspective. I almost feel it would have been better without the person in it, unless of course this is a self portrait of you while holding the camera? I do like the background and the vortex like feel of it.
03/12/2008 06:18:03 PM
Great shot, curious as to how you pulled it off!
03/12/2008 04:23:55 PM
This is really cool and well done! Got the blur, feels chaotic, and it's interesting!
03/12/2008 12:42:58 PM
I like this as a picture. However the blur in this picture is merely background. If there had been more camera movement during the shoot, the person here could have been blurry and a mess as well.

Awesome shot. I am trying to guess where it was taken. On an amusement ride perhaps?
