I'm enjoying the heck out of watching this gorgeous young lady grow up. You really have done amazing things with your photography of your children, from the silly to the sublime. But shots like this one - the simple "hello there!" as your title suggests - are the ones that are the true keepers. The ones that show who they are through your eyes.

I agree with the rest of them. Wonderful shot... Andrew

Hi Tim, another great shot of Rowen. The sharpening is slightly overdone for me, and has instroduced some colour seperation, like it's printed on a printing press, and the colours haven't lined up properly. But I love the colours and the light.

Hmm..remarkably similar subject to "Daddy & Me...Straight On 'til Morning". Perhaps both parents are on DPC? I'm curious now. Good shot.

Not sure I've ever seen a better portrait of a child. Deserves a ten for best of category.

This feels heavily processed to me. The background is a bit distracting. With her leaning into the camera it makes the shot have a snapshot feel to it. Be careful with your horizon as it is going right through her head.

I do like the colors however and the sharpness in her features. I like the catch lights you captures in her eyes especially. Nice placing of her face in the frame as it makes for a strong composition.

From what I've seen, this is easily my favorite photo in this free study. Amazing job. The colors of the tuque and the jacket match perfectly. If only the jacket was cleaner :P. 10.

I'm seeing some colour noise in the coat and hat, post-processing saturation maybe? Doesn't matter though, this is a wonderful portrait. I love the angle and cute expression. My only 10 vote so far. Hello there right back at ya!

pretty good composition with leading lines that point to your subject's brain. It makes us wonder what she's thinking. It's a little too posed for my taste, but there is a hint here of a real girl, perhaps a little impatient with this exercise. As a viewer, my plea is: give me something to believe in.

What a warm wonderful authentic smile! The mist muted colors in the backdrop help with the mood of the shot.
