Taken while flying from British Columbia to Newfoundland, this is over Manitoba, just south of Lake Manitoba to be exact. I love the patterns in the earth, formed by man and nature. Man's fields and roads and nature's rivers and hills.

If this is a 5 then I am a chicken called Henry!!

What a fantastic shot that met the challenge in a breathtaking way

I just love the way the topography has been caught and produced such a harsh sharp patchwork quilt effect

I am staggered at how you did not get any reflection from the airplane window and of how - in far from ideal conditions - you got such great textures colours and sharpness

Scored this an 8 in the challenge and think I was being very stingy

Beautiful

This is a fantastic shot, Karen. I noticed and admired it during voting. Can't understand why it didn't do better.

Amazing appearance of the landscape - I'm presuming this was shot out of an aircraft. Extra point for acheiving a harsh look!

This is VERY interesting; the winding shapes really pull you through the shot. Nice work.
