I shot this with a polarizer on because I like the deep green color in the water, but think it would have looked better without it. This was a rare day because there were no ripples in the water due to the "icebergs".

I didn't comment on this when I voted (gave it a 10). But I just traded in my Sigma 8mm circular fisheye lens for a Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 and am really looking forward to capturing similar images for future challenges. BTW, your Arctic Eternity is simply amazing.

This is cool. You've managed to make Indiana look so National Geographic :) I love the little bergs and the light shining on the water. Congrats on 4th place!

I don't think I've ever seen Lake Michigan colored as it was the day you took the picture. Nice work.

You are correct - it was taken from the walkway looking just a bit South of Chicago. It's hard to see but the land on the left is mostly dunes.

Excellent, Ken! Loved this photo during voting, though I had no clue it was yours. SO close to a ribbon!! Great finish, nonetheless. Congratulations.

Beautiful. And the photo goes on forever (well to the horizon). In my opinion this should ribbon.

I like this wide angle shot. If I have to guess, I will guess it's sunrise. This one should score well, good luck.

Perhaps a bit more contrast? no other criticism or suggestion for this great image.

This is pretty! Certainly gets across "harsh" if thought about, but in reality...it has a "serene look" to it. Great editing and great shot!
