This toad lily is a common native here. Had to wait for it to warm up and do its upward curve. Some blown highlights. Handheld - difficult spot to get into. Used auto levels, no crop, smudged some shine off a leaf in the upper right, and a tiny bright spot, no USM, just some sharpening after downsizing.

An interesting view to say the least. And why not, everyone else is taking pictures from the front, it's about time someone shows us what the back of the flower look like. One thing I started doing lately when photographing flowers is placing a piece of black paper in the background. I find that it eliminates any distractions such as the leaves on the right. It also helps the flower stand out brightly.
