I hate to contradict your premise, but dry cereal makes a dandy sort of "instant pasta" under all sorts of emergency circumstances. The functional difference between Kix and polenta after being doused with marinara is negligble.

Really nice photo though! :)

Great "out of place" theme and strong image - great composition (with the bottle and spoon positioned just so), good strong colours, lots of interest, nice lighting... all round excellent entry.

It must've been tough to get the lighting set up, with the bottle looming over the bowl like that, and to keep the bottle still while getting the ketchup out.
