| this almost got a posthumous ribbon, but I could not resist the lips. this is one of those shots that I don't even understand why I like it, or why it has so much emotion. something mysterious brought on by the balanced composition and narrow dof. |

One of those shots that amazes me with the incredible amount of detail that can sometimes be fit into 720 pixels.

| Favorite so far. I love the tones. Maybe just a bit more highlight at the needle tip, compared to the top, to draw attention first (based on your title). The top of the image gets first glance. Some kind of "photoshop" artifact around the proximal needle as well as the base of the player (unbelievable DOF, lens blur mask gone awry?). 8 but would be a 10 if the PSing was "invisible". |
