I put a piece of broken glass over a baby pinecone on top of a black car. converted from Raw. Basically, I upped the contrast and then I upped the cyan. no crop. resize.usm

I was really disappointed with the results of this challenge. No comments during the challenge and a low, low score. I wish I had taken advantage of advanced editing to lighten up the bottom half of the photo and show off the reflection... but based on the reaction this got, I don't think it would have helped much. I just don't get it. I know this is too ambiguous to get a high score, but below 5? Or did people think this was a flower? It's so not a flower.

I like the edge of glass across the top. Interesting idea. I agree with Karen, try it with some other objects too.

That glass imparts a nice emotive sense to the pinecone, a kind of wistful distance. You should try other objects under this glass.

Don, those white spots look like lights on a horizon. Kind of cool.
