weird... the red behind it detracts I think (the flower pot?) and I would have liked to have seen the top of the flower. very odd though :-)

That is odd. But, it's still a flower macro, and by default those don't earn more than a 2 from me. So, 2.

This flower has the potential for a very interesting image, but here you've got some of it in direct sun and some in the shadow. The background clutter doesn't help either. I'd recommend re-visiting it when the lighting is more helpful and maybe bringing something to use as a background.

the twists and turns of the flower have a lot of character - i am just distracted by the busy background
