For once the DPC Gods were thinking about me. I was scheduled to take pics of the Anchor House Ride for Runaways Training Ride and up pops the announcement of the latest challenge, WOW!
Anchor House Ride for Runaways is a one-week, 500-mile (YES, MILE), charity bike ride to support Anchor House. Anchor House is a home for runaway/abused children in the greater Trenton NJ/eastern-PA area. My oldest son did the ride twice, my youngest son once, my husband is about to do his twelfth one, and I rode twice and am about to work support this year (in July). A great cause, and an even better workout.
The ride will be from Rutland VT to Trenton NJ.

PP: image size, USM, levels (minimal), brightness/contrast (minimal), save for web.

Excellent! Love everything about this shot, particularly the story behind it. Nicely done! (And I agree with yospiff - this says a lot to those of us who ride or at least used to ride, especially those of us who've ridden in charity events, though I've only done 150 miles!)

I think this deserved to place much higher. Perhaps this photo may be the sort that makes a stronger statement to a cyclist. I see a lot of high votes in the breakdown, so many did like it.

This looks very much like a road in France I biked. Thanks for the memory.

I feel like the contrast is really a bit much. The shadows around his nose are too bold. Other than that, the dop is great as well as the composition.

I like the focus on the 1st rider and gradually get foggy as you look back very clever

Very good, I keep wondering if this would have looked even better in b/w. Good luck.

Good focus, not sure about the DOF. The guy walking in the background makes me laugh
