Sorry about the sloppy editing. This was truly a last second submission. Editing time started at around 10 minutes before deadline.

Thanks for the comments and favs.

Yeah I could have cropping out the woman and the camel would still look big in the frame but with her in there it makes the camel look big in real life which is what I preferred.

Very lovely effect ! I like that you -didn't- crop out the woman because we'd still see a part of her arm/body or you'd loose the beautiful curve of the camel's head very nice capture!! :) I also love the tonal range you chose :)

I'm glad you left the woman in this. It's almost like the camel is leaning in to you to whisper something about her. It's a fun animal vs. tourist photo. I thought the processing enhanced the comical feel of it all. What did you use to edit this? Congrats on the top 10!

WOW - that is some kind of face. Where were you to find a camel? Go to Saudi and not tell anyone? Congrats on top 10

The woman contributes a lot to this shot, to me it appears as if the camel is communicating with the viewer (by expression) about her...congrats on top 10 finish!

Congrats on the top 10, I really enjoyed this distinct and unique shot. What a great expression and angle. I dont know what to say about the woman. I feel bad, but part of me wants to laugh, I like how she is simultaneously taking a pic with her camera phone, and she adds some balance to the composition. But in the end she feels somewhat like a non-sequitur, i dont know what to make of it! Hah, congrats again

Well done Richard, you have a thing for the faces of animals! I actually like the edit on this. I think that person in the image is what got you in this position, but it is a top 10, congrats!

Fanatastic potrait of a camel! I love the angle you shot him from, and my gosh, the glow in the eye is amazing! Your tonal values lighting and detail are superb! This image reminds me of someone's style...ROZ?? :)

Strong composition. Camels lend themselves tzo this type of distortion. They were born that way. Nice colour grading too.

At first, I thought the person in the background was a bit distracting, but upon second glance, I think she adds a bit of balance (and should I say humour) to the shot.

I love the perspective and the PP you did. If only the person would not be in the picture.

Awesome perspective. See this is the big difference between good and great - those freaking colors. Awesome. 10 (A kickin' lens doesn't hurt either!)

Lol - now that's a camel macro. Seems very curious about your camera. I like the in your face image, yet there's something about the processing I don't care for. The sky looks too dark compared to the light on the camel and there's a bit of a hot "yellow" spot on the bridge of its nose.
