I think this is an amazing photo. It's unfortunate with your score, but I guess it's understandable seeing how it's so abstract. But nonetheless a powerful photo.

I'm ashamed to admit I underscored this with a lousy 6.
Yay on the OOBIE ;)

I have been following your work for a few months. I truly believe your art needs to be displayed in a gallery!

two x-prizes in a row. cool. this, like the camera portrait, has a wonderful feeling of disturbed light and dark. the textures, the colours, the blur, all work together extremely well. this piece creates an emotional reaction, not just on an aesthetic level, but a visceral level as well. an image not to analyse but to embrace and experience. well done indeed.

Bold indeed, cutout. Wow. Can't wait to read the comments you're getting on this one. This is VERY abstract, and I'm having trouble reading it myself. Still, very creative and very much your own.

Your work should be on display somewhere. A seven for this.

very modern take on the challenge topic, but it just doesn't work too well for me. I appreciate the artistic nature of the image, even if I think it doesn't meet the challenge.

I have almost no idea what I am looking at here. Offhand it looks like someone in the shower, with a paper boat on their head. Or, it could be a sailboat coming into a cave. Maybe. I'm going to consider it a semi-abstract. It is an interesting composition, however.

I think this is too out there for the DPC crowd.

To quote a term frequently used around here for abstracts: " what is it". (Just had to wright it, never mind, insider joke). I'm not into analysing modern art, so I won't even try that approach. Lots of details in there that tickle the fantasy (dolphin head, cling foil stretch, headless torso, boatish silhouette, light textures). I like the overall effect as well. Great picture! Great title too, as such, but I fail to make the connection...
(Sorry, I'm not allowed to vote, so I can't boost your average.)

If I had submitted this photo it would be hanging in the 3's or super low 4's. So, I hardly see the boat but I like going boldly. I think a 7 would be generous for the challenge.

Imagine an abstract boat. Here's some points just for being brave.

Strange, very strange. Has some interesting surreal appeal.

Art speaks differently to different people. This is just a case of not pleasing ME, but I'm sure others will totally get this.

I can make out the sail boat in the centre but can't quite grasp what you were trying to achieve with the complete image.

I see a paper boat in there and other things. Nice shot.

This just doesn't work for me at all.....I don't "see" this on any level.

I'll be curious about a description after the challenge. Good luck!

Ok, I'm assuming that is some kind of toy boat going through something... not sure.

enter challenge = 1
artistic = 2
WOW factor (wow is that ugly) = 2
meets challenge (if you play it backwards I swear it looks like a boat) = 2
let's see - what else - oh how about 1 percent of the square root of the number of unique colors = 3

I guess you get a 10 for this one :)

This gets a 10 from me because I have no idea what it is and that makes it so freaking awesome. I do see a boat tho.
