 This was a last minute shoot tonight to replace my original entry of the Miami skyline at night because that shot just didn't cut it when I resized it for DPC and uploaded it. I decided to start over with a completely new idea.

This is my first attempt at painting with light and I fairly happy with it. I used an LED flashlight with a fabric softener sheet folded into four layers and black construction paper for a snoot just like I read about in a recent magazine.

I don't know how well it will do and I feel like it could go either way and score high or completely bomb.

This is an interesting symmetrical composition, everything in focus nicely; and the illumination seeming to come from within the flowers is lovely -making it more artistic (which is to my tastes) - part of me wishes that stem wasn't there- but as i stare at it I enjoy the little splash of green that draws my eyes back down again... and it looks like one beautiful long flower tho I suspect its 3 flowers (i'm no expert on flowers) ;) -- the softness captured in texture is very nice; and its perfectly in focus giving it an a quality that is somewhat 3d -- personally I might have trimmed a little of the black from the bottom but I tend to crop too much I'm told -
