* Note to self: look up before lighting rope to notice the smoke detector is right above next time.
The noise was deafening. lol

Have no fear - only the end of the rope was burned. A little trim and it's as good as new.

Nice lighting and capture. It's a nice symbolic study.

You're brave to shoot this inside! I like the nice detail of the burning end.

What a wonderful light and details. Perhaps a square crop. The right side is not so interesting as the left side.

It would have been funny to have Woody on the rope, forcing him to climb faster. But seriously, excellent detail on the rope, especially the embers on the ends of the strands. Great job.

Excellent shot - glad Woody wasn't climbing it this time!

Nicccceee! Flames work well. I wonder how I can work some flames into my shoehorns? (I love your narrative about the smoke detector!)

Woah! excellent I love it. Already on day 3? Man I need to either stop working, stop caring and find my damn battery chargers sooner! Really cool work.

Here is another note for you:
"Note to self #2: Do not start destroying the prop till towards the end of the month!"

Just kidding. Nice freezing of the flame. I have never tried shooting fire. Does a longer shutter speed make it flow like it does with water?

With images like this, you are setting us all alight, with some amazing images in this side challenge.
A great composition, using the rule of thirds, and also love the textures, and by the way, that flame does look dangerous.

I know what smoke alarms sound like, as ours went off tonight, when Peter was about to serve up our dinner. All is well now, and we really enjoyed our meal.

Thank you Linda, and look forward to seeing many more of your amazing images.....
