Was raining, so didn't have much time to make the shot, & only made a few exposures
Mounted my camera on a tripod connected to my door.
Set the self timer & started driving in a slow circle in front of some shops with bright coloured lights.
Post processing = levels, as teh image was a bit dark.
Colour saturation a little.
Neat image.
Resize & frame.

Love the light of the shops on the curves of the car set off with the rain drops.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
For those interested, I bought a tripod travel set from Cullmann about 15 years ago at a flea market. Included in the set is a suction cup to attach the tripod to the door. Here is the link as it is still on the market. Cullmann Traveller
So I set up the camera, pressed timer & started driving.

Worked out really well, I like the raindrops adding extra sparkles. Just wondering how you attached the tripod to your door, it is such a smooth surface, did you do it with open window ? Front or back door ?

You might want to check my How'd they do that ? for some different angles using a tripod on the front.

the first car wheel i've liked!

Neat composition. I like the detail of the rain drops and the blur of the background together. Looks a bit dangerous to take the pic though. Keep up the good work. 8

Perfect motion blur, I like the colors. The angle is what really makes this photo special and interesting. 9

Good luck...

Great capture here. The composition and motion a the key to making this a great shot. Well done!

Very good angel, great exposure and technically very good overall. Hope you´ve put some explanations of how you did this wich can be looked at at the end of the challenge.

Now this is a very cool shot. I feel like I seen this done before but it's still cool. The light, and the water beads, I think it is very cool. 10

Great focus on car w/ consistant motion blur on road. How'd you do it.

Nice actino photo. Although more contrast between the tire and the shadow of the wheel well would work better I think.

perfect crop, lets me see a second image (a lady with necklaces and a hat) and the title matches. As far as colors, may be too much orange

clever

The angle, and the exposure of the wheel give this shot an 'expression' rather like
a surprised animal. I don't suppose you had that in mind when you took it, but it would be hard to achieve if you had intended it. Very good.

Very nicely done. The presence of moisture adds to an already present sense of motion (IMO).

Really neat shot! did you mount a camet to the car? The angle gives a very surreal feel.

very few can pull "the car in motion" shot off-but you did a great job!

interesting, am wondering how fast is the shutter speed and you are able to keep the camera still

I'm getting dizzy just from looking at this. Really sharp and good angle to accentuate the feeling of speed and rotation. Surely this one is going far, as it would have in the motion blur challenge as well.

Like the composition. The green and brown/gold colors add a lot. The only detractor is the white line in the upper right corner.

Very nearly perfect. I think this needs a little more light on the lower left to balance the upper right and removal of the odd light line in the upper left.

This is a fanctasic shot - well captured, composed and although the lighting wasn't really up to you it works really well
