Thanks for the votes.
I have a Canon G2 and the widest angle is about 35mm and I shot this at the widest aperature setting in order to get the best depth of field on the dry mud in the distance.
I just happened to be walking around near the James River walkway in our downtown section and came across this Dr. Pepper can stuck in the mud. I did move it to get the front of the can for more interesting detail but the can had obviously been there for months from the faded and mud caked appearance. Most of my best shots it seems come from this "Candid, shoot what I find" approach. |

Excellent shot Scott. The only reason why you didn't get my 10 was the soda can overload in the challenge. :) The angle is great and gives the pic drama. Did you use a wide angle? |

Really neat idea. I like the cracked ground. Black and white works well here. I assume this is a Dr. Pepper? It is a little hard to see with the angle and glare on the can, but the title makes it clearer. Your focus and clarity are great. Overall a nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

Of all the can photos I've seen in this challenge, this has had the most thought put into it (including the title). The B+W effect definitely works in this case. I like it. Good luck. |

unless the can was dull and lost all its color from laying in the sun, it would have been awsome to see the can in color. still a nice job. |
