I hope this photo does justice to Sean's memory.
"True Grit" was a John Wayne movie for which he won an Oscar.(1969) For the movie buffs out there I didn't think it was necessary to include an eye-patch!
Thank you Brian for showing "true grit" and letting me photograph you.

I like the dappled light and the way this blends into the background. well done.

Nice shot and processing. I would like it better if he wasn't facing out of the picture, but the eyes going inwards really helps resolve that a lot.

Beautiful use of dappled light, and, duotone fits the picture perfectly. I probably would have tried to burn the blown-out areas of the tree in the left a bit more. Great image.

Like the gritty face, but the shadows are very distracting to me. Like the gnarled tree comparison with the cowboy's wrinkles. Does he have long hair? Can't quite tell, and that's distracting as well. Coloring is just a little too green.

Where did you find him?! He looks so authentic ... Nice dappled light. Also like the choice of sepia.

This guy has me almost convinced, then I look at the hat. -1 for the too clean hat, good score anyway..

The lighting hurts the image....it would be better with more even lighting, especially on the face.

Very nice, vintage western feel to this. I like the dappled light on his face.
