It isn't really caviar, just some little beads you can buy and when you add water to them they swell up and look like caviar.

Congratulations on your award! It is very well done and certainly stood out among the others. I'm curious what do the beads represent and how did you come to name the photo Soviet Signature? Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Oh, pretty orange maggots. The dark makeup and position does indicate a crime scene, or death. Probably overdosed on caviar. :-) Wow, another ribbon.

Congratulations, Gary, on a well-earned blue ribbon. I ran out of time to come back and bump up my favorites after my initial sort, but I see it didn't hurt your score!

Absolutely wonderful shot. Congratulations.

Also, congrats to your model. I don't know how one could maintain that composure with those sticky beads stuck all over her.

It is no wonder it got the blue.

Yes, they look like the fish roe called ikura that they make with sushi sometimes. Not one of my favourite choices for sushi, though. Great set-up, congratulations on the Blue.

Love the color scheme and lighting here. I am at a loss as to the relevance and even went out & googled with no real results. I'm curious to see after the rollover what this is about. Still rated high assuming the challenge was met.

This one is my favorite in the challenge. I guess many have told you that this has not much to do with a crime scene, but it is so well executed and visually pleasing that I cannot but choose this as my top one.

My favorite picture of the challenge. Love the colors on this. The orange works really great! Still trying to figure out what they are... I eat a lot of sushi so I'm just picturing fish eggs.

well executed colorful composition...I do not know what the title refers to though...i un derstand this is meant to be an artistic approach but IMHO it does not convey crime.

Wow - super job! I love the colors in this. It seems just a tad OOF. I would have liked a more slanted angle with the face going corner to corner. Also, perhaps just a bit too many "eggs". However, I'm nit-picking a very strong picture - 8

No idea what the concept is here. First impression is that these are balls of caviar or something. I enjoy the colour contrasts here but just does not give me crime let alone a scene of a crime.

06/16/2008 01:26:46 AM
I wonder how many people are wondering what those little orange balls are, and second, what do they (caviar) have to do with the Soviets? ;-)
